    Description

    To engage in weekly lessons with a LEAH student, engaging them in specific topics to improve their English conversational skills.

    The lessons can take place over Zoom or in person at the student's house or an agreed community location.
    To assist them to improve their English with the main focus on speaking and listening
    As a volunteer working with vulnerable adults, you will be required to have a DBS disclosure. What training we will provide for you

    Learn English At Home (LEAH) is a small independent charity who offer residents of Kingston, Richmond and Hounslow boroughs with low levels of English, lessons to improve their language skills and become more involved in the community.

    We train volunteers to teach practical English on a 1 to 1 basis. Lessons take place either remotely over Zoom, in person at the student's house or in an agreed community setting. When ready clients move on to small community classes.

    Our services offer students a means to overcome isolation and improve their chances in life through improved English language skills, increased confidence and self-belief and greater knowledge of local services.
