    Job Description

    Strategic Bid Manager

    Blue Legal are pleased to introduce a brand new Strategic Bid Manager opportunity to the market for a leading international law firm. This opportunity will see you working as part of the firm's global strategic bids team which looks after all of the firm's technical, detailed and high value bids. You will be responsible for managing the end to end process for high value bids, develop and refine processes and contribute to departmental strategic projects.

    The Responsibilities:

    • Spearhead strategic bid opportunities globally, championing firm best practices and fostering creativity in proposal development while ensuring stakeholder engagement and profitability optimisation.
    • Lead end-to-end pitch management, from planning to follow-up, with a focus on high-value opportunities and influencing Partners to adopt innovative approaches.
    • Collaborate seamlessly with BD and Marketing teams to deliver cohesive pitch services, maximising impact and client satisfaction.
    • Provide hands-on coaching to pitch teams, refining oral presentation skills and client meeting preparation.
    • Innovate systems and processes to support work-winning activities and improve client offerings.

    The Candidate:

    • Experience working with legal (ideally) or professional services.
    • Proficiently manage the entire pitch lifecycle, adding value at each stage, with a proven track record of leading strategic and panel opportunities.
    • Demonstrate excellent project management skills, coordinating multiple contributors and engaging stakeholders effectively to meet tight deadlines.
    • Provide coaching for pitch delivery and presentations, leveraging strong presentation skills and client-facing business development experience.
    • Exhibit expertise in crafting winning client propositions, generating original content with compelling themes and client-focused messaging.
    • Engage with clients for scoping and debriefing, demonstrating ownership and delivering high-quality work consistently.
