- NVQ Level 5 or in leadership and management or a prepared to work towards.
- Driving Licence
- Have experience of working with children and young people with challenging behaviours including mental health and emotional and behaviour difficulties in a residential setting.
- At least 2 years Registered Manager experience of working in an Ofsted regulated children's home that carries a rating of good or above.
- Excellent knowledge of current legislations The Children's Homes England Regulations 2015, Quality Standards 2015, the Children's Act 1989, Children Act 2004 alongside all other legislations that are relevant to residential children's homes
- We are seeking a passionate individual to help create and maintain a child-centred therapeutic home with the ability to lead a staff team. The role requires a degree of resilience and patience for working with a vulnerable young people. You will require previous experience of regulatory requirements as it relates to Children's homes, staff supervision and leading a team.
- · Ability to lead and inspire a staff team, take responsibility for staff team training and development, supervision, rosters ensuring continuity of care for each child or young person.
- · Able to manage stress and difficult dynamics and demonstrate emotional resilience.
- Capable of performing a wide variety of administrative tasks consistent with the day-to-day management of a children's home.
- Prioritise and organise workload in a manner that maintains and promotes quality, evaluating the quality of own and others' work and raises any quality issues and related risks to the relevant person.
- To be 'fit' to manage a children's home as outlined in the requirements for registration as a manger.
- Ability to sustain and work through placement issues to prevent placement breakdowns.
- Ability to monitor the service for quality of care and in line with the requirements of Ofsted inspection.
- Ability to develop constructive working relationships with the wider community and multi-agency teams.

Responsible to: Directors of Operations / Responsible Individual
Location: Merseyside
Salary: £50,000 +
Schedule: Monday - Friday
We are recruiting for a fantastic Ofsted children's home who have over 20 years of experience and are based throughout the North West specialising in therapeutic care. They are looking to recruit an experienced Registered Manager to manage their new home, which will care and support up to 2 young people.
Requirements
The manager will be driven along with a requirement to be empathetic, committed, compassionate and passionate to be able to work with our children and young people who are from dynamic backgrounds, cultures, ages and genders.
The successful candidate will support young people to grow in all areas of their lives and work towards emotional stability whilst developing to their full potential. They will lead and manage the children's home consistent with the approach and ethos of the organisation, delivering outcomes and high-quality care as set out in the home's statement of purpose.
