    Head of Financial Control - Series B AI Startup - London
    Remote
    £100,000 - £120,000 + equity + benefits.
    TalentEdge are currently exclusively a rapidly growing remote AI business leading the charge in innovation.

    They are on the lookout for a talented and dynamic Head of Financial Control to join the team as the second in finance, playing a pivotal role in their continued success and growth.

    The business is at the forefront of revolutionising the AI landscape, harnessing cutting-edge technologies to drive impactful solutions.

    Having raised significant Series-B funding, they are experiencing rapid growth and are poised for even greater achievements in the near future.


    Role Overview:

    As the Head of Financial Control, you'll take the reins in shaping and driving the financial control function of the organisation.

    This is a technically focused role where you'll leverage your expertise to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial operations.

    Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll play a key role in guiding strategic decision-making and supporting ambitious growth trajectory, whilst also rolling your sleeves up and getting involved in a typical startup environment.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Establish and manage robust financial control processes and procedures to safeguard financial integrity.
    Oversee financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
    Drive efficiency and optimisation initiatives within the finance function to support our rapid growth and scalability.
    Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across the organisation to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
    Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial stakeholders.
    Stay abreast of emerging trends and developments in accounting and finance, providing guidance and recommendations to senior leadership.


    Qualifications:
    Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience.
    Previous experience in a technically focused finance role, preferably within a high-growth startup or technology company.
    Strong knowledge of financial controls, regulatory compliance, and accounting standards.
    Strong US experience.
    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
