Location :The post holder may be required to work at anyFederation location at any time throughout the duration of their contract,normally within the main offices of the Federation or as set out under the terms of theircontract.
Main duties of the job
This role is part of the Federations at Scale Services which delivers a range of Integrated and At Scale projects on behalf of our Member Practices. Some projects will be commissioned over a long period and some for a minimum of 12 months or less. The Service Manager will be responsible for managing a range of services, or at least one large-scale service.
The Extended Access Manager will be the management lead for Haringeys Extended Access Community Hubs and NMUH GP at Front Door Service. The hubs provide out of hours General Practice provision for Haringey patients, they can be accessed by every patient with a Haringey GP. NMUH GP at Front Door Service provides primary care GP support to NMUH A&E department. The Extended Access Manager will also be responsible for the oversight of smaller services, such as Health Checks and the Digital Inclusion Service.
They will have the opportunity to support other areas of work which are being developed to operate at scale. They will participate as a member of the Haringey GP Federation operations team supporting identification of new business opportunities which fit with the strategic direction of Haringey GP Federation (HGPF). To support resilience in General Practice: to provide at scale primary care services; and contributing to multi agency as working as primary care provider.

We provide a range of services in Haringey including those which are best delivered by Primary Care at scale; integrated services, working with partners in our local borough partnership; and support services including back-office support, workforce and training and some shared staffing clinical teams. We also currently manage two local GP practices and lead Haringey Training hub.

Job descriptionJob responsibilities
Management of 5 community hubs providing out of hours general practice appointments between 8pm Monday on Weekdays, 9am -8pm Saturdays and 8am 8pm on Sundays.
Management of GP at the Front Door Service by providing support to NMUH ED department. Monday to Sunday between to 8pm.
Ensure all operational policies, protocols and procedures are up to date and fit for purpose so that Haringey GP Federation remains compliant with contractual requirement and quality and safety requirements.
Develop services with the right mix of appointments available with GPs, nurses and HCAs in the right locations and the right time with engagement from practices and the public.
Ensure the system of appointment allocation enables patients from every practice have fair access. Provide reports to practices that evidence utilisation and support fair access.
