    ABOUT SOCIAL CHAIN

    SocialChain is a multi-award-winning social marketing agency with offices in Manchester, London and New York. We have experience executing full-scale social campaigns for big-name brands like LinkedIn, Holland & Barrett, Shark Ninja, Tik Tok, Apple and the BBC to name a few.

    In February 2023, we became part of the Brave Bison universe as the Social & Influencer division of the business. This extends our social media services into wider marketing and tech territories, capitalising on complexity for brands like New Balance and Currys.

    We are a creator collective designed for a modern world. A team of content creators, community builders, platform natives, tech innovators, and trend starters – perfectly balanced with talented and experienced marketing strategists, comms planners, client leaders and data specialists. Together, we build stronger connections between people and brands by strengthening our clients' SocialChain.

    THE ROLE

    The business is looking to recruit an experienced new business professional with a proven track record of delivering growth within a 70+ person agency. We are looking for someone who is highly commercial, an excellent relationship builder, compelling team motivator and strong project manager to nurture and convert our strong new business pipeline.

    This is a critical role for the agency at an exciting time in our growth. Reporting directly to the CEO and part of the senior leadership team, you will be the driving force behind all new business with a focus on pitch process, stakeholder management, successful client onboarding, commercial forecasting, CRM and pipeline management. You will also be part of a wider Brave Bison growth community, with a dotted line into the group CMO and a dual remit focused on building the group offering and nurturing cross-sell opportunities.

    The ultimate objective is to enhance the agency's new business offering, continuously drive revenue growth and ensure all new clients are set up for long-term success. You should be prepared to operate independently and be as comfortable running a large scale global pitch, as writing an RFP or monitoring the success of your pipeline through CRM management.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    New business:

  • Point of contact for all new business inbound enquiries, qualifying and responding to relevant opportunities and nurturing them through every stage of the pitch process.
  • Casting, leading and effectively project managing all new business pitches – from small project briefs to large global accounts.
  • Upskilling the wider agency in pitch best practice and collaborating with the wider Brave Bison growth community to drive efficiencies in pitch process, reporting and cross-selling.
  • Supporting the client services team in driving onboarding excellence—setting our new client partnerships up for long term success.
  • Prospecting:

  • Working closely with the CMO and marketing team to nurture relevant leads from outbound marketing activity into live pitch opportunities.
  • Attending SocialMinds and wider industry events to identify and develop potential future clients.
  • Building and maintaining close relationships with relevant intermediaries and agency partners.
  • Commercial management:

  • Owning and meticulously updating our CRM, Hubspot, with all new business activity.
  • Keeping pipeline and prospecting dashboards up to date and reporting regularly to the Brave Bison board.
  • Working closely with our Financial Director to ensure our new business pipeline is accurately reflected in commercial forecasting.
  • Working with our Client Services Director to effectively and competitively price new business proposals.
  • Growth strategy:

  • Supporting the leadership team and group CMO in developing the business proposition and growth strategies that facilitate the expansion of our capabilities, geographic reach, and product/service offerings.
  • EXPERIENCE

  • Extensive experience working with cross-disciplinary teams in an agency environment, with 3+ years in a senior leadership/management role in an agency of 70+ headcount.
  • Experience converting 65%+ of pitches across a full spectrum of client industry verticals.
  • Strong negotiator with excellent stakeholder management skills (both internally and externally.)
  • Proven track record of effectively pricing creative campaigns, with a clear understanding of the wider social and influencer marketing landscape.
  • Experience managing a CRM (Hubspot)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with remote and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience in new business pitch management and growth strategy. You should have experience delivering and converting client engagements over 6-7 figures in value.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to business planning and expansion.
  • Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
