- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities and lead the team in creating and executing marketing and sales strategies.
- Evaluate existing Tourism accounts to identify growth areas.
- Prepare pitches and RFPs for new and existing clients.
- Build relationships with new clients, understand their needs, and develop proposals.
- Conduct market research and analyze competition to adjust strategy decisions.
- Develop, implement, and manage strategic marketing plans.
- Organize top-class industry events on behalf of clients.
- Grow the department and strategically lead the business development of the Tourism Marketing & PR Team.
- Report to the General Manager on business development performance and collaborate with other departments.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the tourism industry with personnel responsibility.
- Higher university degree or equivalent qualification.
- Extensive personal network within the UK & Ireland tourism industry, and a strong network of contacts with tourism boards, cruise companies, and hotel companies.
- Ability to work under pressure, foster team spirit, and coaching experience.
- Charismatic, and resilient to changing environments, and client requests.
- Self-driven, dynamic, and passionate about the travel industry.
- Outstanding written communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish and French is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office Products and other relevant platforms (Canva, etc.).
- Enthusiastic and eager-to-learn leader capable of empowering, motivating, and coaching the team.
