    Description
    Application Support Engineer - Stevenage (Onsite) - 3 months (Extendable) - £ PER DAY UMBRELLA
    We are for looking someone with broad knowledge but not specialist in App support and infrastructure.
    Applications, End User Support.
    Responsible for the efficient operation and support of applications within the Mechanical Design Department.

    The Support Engineer will:
    Provide extensive end user support for Mechanical Design applications for over 3000+ users.
    Be responsible for delivering support across 3 UK sites – Stevenage, Bolton, and Filton.
    Assist in the definition of best practice and processes associated with Mechanical Design applications.

    Good knowledge of application/s support
    ~ 1st/2nd level operations experience with Application support team or service desk
    ~ Ownership and management - Able to work alone on tasks once trained
    ~ Windows experience
    Working within a Support team environment

    SQLAwareness
    Log analysis competency
    Window 2016 server knowledge and above
    Enterprise services Experience – Active Directory/DFS/Certificate Services/Keystores/IIS Web Services/Apache Tomcat
    Root Cause Analysis skills

    Windchill administration / implementation.
    Implementation of Windchill 10.Knowledge of deploying Creo Parametric/Office PDF workers.
    Windows 10 OS / Windows Server OS – 2012 onwards
    ~ Must have strong Windows OS administration knowledge.

    IIS Web services.

    SQL
    Some knowledge of MS
    SQLServer databases.
    Knowledge of the use of
    SQLmanagement studio.
    Knowledge of
    SQLcommand language in order to perform queries and updates within
    SQLdatabase.
