Technical Delivery Manager - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom - Cambridge University Press & Assessment

    Default job background
    Description
Our world class resources support hundreds of thousands of teachers and learners across the world.

We are embarking on a new era of digital solutions for learning, and now is an opportune time to join a dynamic and fast-growing team who are helping shape and deliver this roadmap.

We're looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Delivery Manager to help us achieve these ambitious plans across our expanding global technology platforms.

We are Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a world-leading academic publisher and assessment organisation and a proud part of the University of Cambridge.

Lead the successful delivery of platform software projects, managing requirements, priorities, and dependencies to create efficient release schedules
Develop a deep understanding of the requirements, deliverables and complexities of the projects you're engaged on, and be able to communicate clearly and confidently about those projects to stakeholders at different levels
Partner with key stakeholders across the global Education business to support clear elicitation of requirements and effective prioritisation to deliver measurable value to the end user
You will have proven experience successfully delivering projects.

This is a role within a technical team so experience with technical project delivery, or involvement in technical projects in general, is an advantage.

You might have a background in software development or software testing, or a background in education or in publishing, with project management experience.

Part of this role involves taking an active Scrum Master role within a team, so the ability to support and coach a team in good Agile/Scrum practice is essential, and you'll have a strong understanding of the principles, values and benefits of Agile development processes.

Your experience in these areas will allow you to manage complicated technical projects successfully, working with stakeholders to deliver best value, anticipating issues and managing dependencies for effective deliveries.

You will have a flexible approach to problem solving, able to see what needs to be done and innovate if necessary rather than being reliant on rigidly defined processes.

You will be a natural collaborator, playing a strongly supportive role within the team in the face of challenging deadlines and ambitious projects.

We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it.

In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class, flexible rewards package, featuring family-friendly and planet-friendly benefits including:

    ~ Discretionary annual bonus
~ Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary
~ Private medical and Permanent Health Insurance
~28 days annual leave plus bank holidays

We also offer flexible and hybrid working options from day one. We will consider any work arrangements if you wish to work flexibly or require adjustments due to a disability.

Sharing our mission will inspire your own growth, development and progress, in an environment which embraces difference, change and aspiration.

Cambridge University Press & Assessment is committed to being a place where anyone can enjoy a successful career, where everyone has a voice, and where we learn continuously to improve together.

We believe better outcomes come through diversity of thought, background and approach.

We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and communities, actively seeking to employ people from a wide range of different communities.
