    This is an inspiring time tobe part of the transformed C&K CAMHS Crisis Service.

    As Team Manager for Calderdaleand Kirklees Crisis and Intensive Home-Based Treatment Team the role willfeature responsibility for day-to-day operational matters, which includes:

    To facilitate and beresponsible for effective multi-disciplinary / multi-agency team working tomeet the needs of all who access the service.

    To ensure mechanisms are inplace to manage, monitor and review clinical processes within the services.

    To ensure the effectivemanagement and continuous development of the team, providing leadership to allstaff which encourages the development of a qualitative, evidence-based promote safeguarding andthe welfare of children, young people and staff.

    We are looking for a highlyvisible and motivated Team Manager, who is registered with a professional body,to support and inspire our dedicated staff working alongside our PracticeGovernance Coach and CAMHS Senior Leadership team with the support of theService Manager.

    Main duties of the job

    The post holderwill undertake line management supervision, sickness management, rotamanagement, HR processes as required, recruitment and retention and ensurestaff are adequately trained.

    The teamprovides emergency duty assessments, seven-day follow-ups, extendedassessments, care co-ordination.

    The primaryfunction of the service is to safely and effectively provide triage,assessment, formulation, signposting, therapeutic intervention and timelydischarge.

    All of the aboveis provided in collaboration with internal and external CAMHS services.

    Themultidisciplinary team consists of: Nurses, Social Workers, OccupationalTherapists, Nursing Associates, Support Workers and we encourage our staff tohold therapeutic qualifications. We are in the process of employing apsychiatrist to work within the Crisis and Eating Disorder pathways.

    We work closelywith our colleagues in CHFT and our Nursing Associate is based within CHFT dueto the prevalence of CAMHS children and young people under CHFT care.

    Youwill work Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with some flexibility expected to supportthe team clinically when required. We welcome applicants who are: Resilient,tenacious, work safely under pressure and are experienced in patient flow witha high degree of emotional intelligence.

    Training

    Essential

  • Experience of delivering training to others.
  • Qualifications

    Essential

  • Relevant professional qualification, nursing, or other professional allied to medicine.
  • Dip SW or relevant mental health profession.
  • Membership of professional body.
  • First level qualification/degree/Certificate in Management Studies or equivalent experience.
  • Desirable

  • Post graduate qualification in mental health ( CBT, Family Therapy, Counselling).
  • Masters Level qualification.
  • A teaching and assessing qualification.
  • Experience

    Essential

  • Substantial post qualification experience, some of which must be working with Children, young people and their carers in a mental health or other complex care setting.
  • Experience of working in different cultural contexts
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Equality and Diversity.
  • Multidisciplinary team working.
  • Inter-agency liaison and consultation.
  • Experience of teaching and assessing.
  • To have experience in recruitment and retention and sickness absence
  • Experience of providing highly specialist advice and supervision to other professionals
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance for working with children, young people, mental health and safeguarding
  • Evidence of advanced clinical/therapeutic knowledge and skills in mental health.
  • Extensive experience in assessment and risk management and ability to implement evidence based practice.
  • Advanced experience of safeguarding children and young people.
