    Position Overview

    This role is key within the Trading Team, they will manage the team responsible for all visual merchandising for EMEA and LATAM websites.

    The VM Sr manager will devise the visual merchandising plan to drive aggressive business goals, customer loyalty toward the brand and a standard of excellence for the digital flagship.

    It is imperative to balance commercial and brand.

    The manager must empower the team to execute the plan as well as synthesise the data from the strategy team and analytics to ensure they have actionable insights.

    This individual will have a detail-oriented approach, a sharp understanding of technology and a passion for what drives customers to buy.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    Visual Merchandising

    • Devise online merchandising plan for EMEA & LATAM in line with the overall business strategy, and assortment.
    • Partner with Trading Strategy on insights to inform the plan.
    • Lead and drive the seasonal kick-off.
    • Leads team to ensure the brand expression and visual presentation is in line with guidelines and customer expectations.
    • Build and maintain close relationships with external brand teams to inform and influence short- and long-term business plans.
    • Partner with the Brand & Content and Web Development Teams to brief, test, optimise and deploy content across multiple channels including but not limited to, website, email, app, and socials.
    • Ensure appropriate products are online and merchandised in line with brand and customer expectations.
    • Optimize Path to Conversion to drive revenue and work with cross-functional teams to bring the Brand to life Work with Buying and Planning teams as well as with Digital Analysts to help define product strategies and opportunities.
    • Leverages all available tools to increase site performance.
    • Review sales forecasts in line with current performance, taking decisions to maximize sales opportunities.
    • Understand consumer behaviour and implement tactics to drive active selling on RLE-EU site and share results and leanings with the wider RLD organization (especially RLE-EU Buying to make sure findings are implemented in upcoming assortments) Trade
    • Develop functional KPIs to ensure that the health and effectiveness of the e-commerce proposition can be monitored over time.
    • Report and analyse to guide the wider team on recommended improvements and best practise.
    • Report weekly/monthly on key performance indicators and trade performance ensuring actions can be taken to drive conversion and sales opportunities.
    • Lead the weekly trade meeting, as well as representing the team's updates in the wider business sales meetings.
    • Optimize against key performance indicators e.g. Click-Through-Rate, Bounce rate, Conversion rate, UPT, AOV, for all sites. Drive positive funnel performance.
    • Share applicable learnings and recommend opportunities for RLE.
    • Review online analytics, customer data and other company insight to formulate actionable insights that actively drive forward the website merchandising experience, always putting the customer & sales at the forefront of consideration - present/discuss in trade meetings.
    • Partner with buying and planning to; 1. To incorporate buy data in the merchandising plan (seasonally) 2. Feedback on performance to inform future buys (end of FP selling period) 3. Trade the business. (weekly).
    • Responsible for developing and delivering existing e-commerce growth opportunities and programmes. Team
    • Lead and develop the team members.
    • Develop and lead relationships with internal teams to ensure that the E-comm proposition works flawlessly end-to-end for the consumer.
    • Quarterly, Mid-Year and Annual touchpoints on business and development goals.
    • Manage the resource model to ensure the team is operating within a fair workload vs demand ratio.
    • Consistent and productive feedback with all team members on performance.
    • Publicise the roadmap, ensure you are continuing to update the team on changes and ensure they are aware and understand their role to play so they are fully engaged.
    • Be a key advocate for all team members, ensuring you are a positive change agent as the business continues to evolve.
    • Consistently empower your team, unlocking roadblocks that are identified.
    • Bring them along for the journey, and ensure you are creating a culture where the team feels they are working toward the common goal vs purely executing.
    • Be Open, Always Listen and Always lead with Integrity. Experience, Skills & Knowledge
    • 5+ full strategic cycles experience in a similar role.
    • 2 strategic cycles in a management role requiring recruitment, training and development of employees in a digital environment.
    • Creative product skills and a very good grasp for brand/product aesthetics (luxury a plus)
    • Comprehensive brand and market/competitive knowledge across Europe
    • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Analytical thinker, with proven business acumen. A clear understanding of success metrics.
    • Ability to work in a high-energy, high-intensity and rapidly evolving environment.
    • The ability to analyze data and create a working theory from data sets
    • Strong collaboration skills
    • Ability to manage projects, and people from afar.
    • Thirst for knowledge and conscious drive to keep abreast of industry trends.
    • Thinks creatively.
    • Project management skills would be a plus.
    • Understanding of SEO.
    • Effective written and oral communication skills, with sensitivity to global communication needs.
    • Experience in presenting at all levels including Senior.
    • Experience in leading and coaching a team to success.
