Our customer prides itself in staying true to its values of collaboration, innovation and diversity of people and thought.Job Description Reporting into the Group Head of L&D, as a Strategic L&D Business Partner, you will drive the success of the organisation through consulting and advising the business at a departmental and enterprise level to develop a high performing culture within a matrix environment.
Using your strategic L&D expertise, you will work as a thought leader and partner with senior stakeholders, HRBP's and external experts to understand the needs of the business and colleagues to develop and execute comprehensive L&D strategies. You will create impactful solutions by leveraging existing and new programs, platforms. Your business area customer group will be approx. 2,000 employees.
As part of a partnering L&D team, you will promote a culture of creating, sharing and adopting learning solutions and best practices, including driving re-use and economies of scale, working with other L&D peers to evaluate ROI at an enterprise level. You'll be a champion for all things Learning and Development, to drive a culture of continuous learning, growth and development across the organisation, and working with our employees to foster innovation, creativity and engagement. - Develops learning input to the people strategy and plan for a business area that aligns and contributes to the future overall learning, people and business strategies
- Support business leads and people partners with the engagement of L&D processes and Managed Learning Services by ensuring they are improving and meeting the needs of the business
- Provide data-driven insights, recommendations about capability development and skills that are fit for the future of the business area
- Deploy and drive value for the business from enterprise-wide learning solutions that are cost effective and deliver ROI
- Communicate, launch and embed learning programme outcomes, report on progress and challenge resolution with targets
- Collate demand forecast and budget for learning, shares learning completions and cost reporting including efficiencies
- Create, share and adopt learning solutions and best practices across the Group, driving re-use and economies of scale
- Own and drive selected enterprise topics on behalf of L&D, as a point of escalation from the programme owners and acting as the learning sponsor
- Adopt and adapt new learning technologies and methods and identify opportunities to enhance the learning experience for employees based on internal / external L&D trends e.g. AI etc.
- Provides the accountability for troubleshooting wider business learning issues that may need key interventions
- Contribute to the overall L&D strategy This role is based in Manchester, with travel national as an when required. The business implores a three day a week relationship of being in an office environment.The Successful Applicant To apply for the role of in Reading, your profile will closely match the following:
- Demonstrable strategic L&D Business Partnering experience.
- Has worked in, and thrived in, a large/corporate and matrixed environment.
- Strong leadership skills, to inspire, collaborate and constructively challenge business stakeholders, HR, the learning and development team, and the broader learning community.
- Ability to collaborate and create Learning & Development strategies and solutions aligned to the goals and objectives of the business area and wider business.
- Deep expertise in Learning and development, including an awareness of learning design principles, learning technology, curation and outcome measurement.
- Experience of leveraging enterprise L&D solutions and smart use of existing capabilities to achieve the strategy.
- Experience in building and scaling innovative learning and development programmes for an organisation.
- A good understanding of the latest trend and developments within L&D, including new and emerging technologies, and how these may drive improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of learning solutions.
- Analytical skills to use data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of Learning solutions and make data-driven decisions.
- Change management skills to manage change and implement news solutions and initiatives.
- Excellent communication skills to share complex ideas and information to a variety of audiences including senior business stakeholders, employees, and 3rd parties.
- Project Management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience of working in telecoms and technology sector would be beneficial.
- Experience of working in a large scale transformation would be beneficial.What's on Offer This role is paying £65,000 to £70,000 (possibly more dependant on experience), plus a performance related bonus and a suite of benefits Michael Page is part of the PageGroup.
