    Themain purpose of the role is to help facilitate the delivery ofprocurement projects for new customers and the renewal of keyframeworks by providing key technical, specification, tender, andcommercial advice to internal stakeholders. Your day-to-dayactivities will include acting as a key conduit between internaldepartments in working to understand changing customerrequirements; ensuring specifications are fit for purpose;providing key technical specification advice; developing aninternal specification and cost library; developing a coreframework specification that will meet future standards and bestpractice; review and improve existing documentation and standards;ensure specifications meet all relevant legislation standards;ensure pricing models are accurate; keep abreast of all keytechnical sector updates and developments; and act as the lad indeveloping and delivering a professional inhouse technicalconsultancyservice.

    MustHave

    • Previousexperience in a strategic delivery capacity within Social HousingAsset Management; Construction, Technical Services &Building Safety; and/or Sustainability, Energy Efficiency, andDecarbonisation.
    • Strongtechnical background covering building systems, construction,building regulations, compliance requirements, and/or quantitysurveying.
    • Experienceof complex building specifications and pricing models, with anunderstanding of market costs, cost models, cost management, value,and contract paymentmechanisms.
    • Experienceof property maintenance, decent homes, and propertydefects/remediation.
    • Excellentreport writing skills, and meticulous recordkeeping.

    NicetoHave

    • Procurementexperience in managing OJEU or Find a Tender compliant projects inConstruction or AssetManagement.
    • Anappreciation for Health & Safety, Construction, Design& Management (CDM)regulations.
    • Experienceof technical specificationdevelopment.
    • Experienceof legal/contractual documentation, construction contracts, and/or,the legal and regulatory framework for housingmaintenance.
    • Knowledgeof residential development in the social housingsector.
    • ProjectManagement.
    • A relevantCertification or Degree, such as one covering Social Housing,Property, Safety, Construction, RICS, IOSH, CIOB, CIAT orsimilar.
    • Office 365application proficiency including MSExcel.

    Asan individual you will be an excellent communicator, adept atliaising and influencing at all levels with a variety ofstakeholders. You will also be highly analytical with a keen eyefor detail, you will be able to analyse data to reach clearconclusions and write clear evidence-based reports. You will alsobe a dedicated team player, reliable, forward thinking and someonewho strives for excellence. This role is home based, with a regularpresence required in the office in the West Midlands - therefore adriving license is required for this post and costs will be cateredfor alongside a car allowance.
