- Responsible for leading a team of 3-4 team members, you will be dedicated to driving ownership and proactive management of commercial bids. This includes developing bid strategies for the following: Terms and Conditions, Pricing and Business Models, Risk Mitigation, Finance, Compliance and Export Control.
- Working closely with Tendering and the Sales team, you will be responsible for commercial and financial activities in budgetary and firm offers for the Grid Solution Substations Business in Newcastle.
- Ensuring accuracy of the Order Intake forecast and documentation, to ensure excellent record keeping and for auditing purposes.
- Closely analysing the tender and offer requirements to identify and implement actions efficiently with the relevant team.
- Defining the appropriate business model considering internal and external regulations and bid strategy.
- Having active involvement from an early stage of bid preparation and pricing process.
- Ensuring bid preparations, presentation and approvals are in line with customer requirements and company guidelines.
- Supporting with Terms and Conditions negotiations from a commercial standpoint.
- Striving for continuous process improvement and cost efficiencies by driving digitalization initiatives.
- Creating a growing environment for your team so we retain talent by encouraging partnership and developing current exposure.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) with a financial or commercial focus and/or CIMA qualification.
- Knowledge and familiarity with a variety of Construction and Engineering Forms of Contracts and their subcontracts (NEC, FIDIC and MF/1).
- Excellent experience in sophisticated international projects or desire to develop this ability.
- Advanced experience in Microsoft Digital Platforms, such as Tableau and Alteryx.
