    Description
    Butler Rose is delighted to be representing this exciting tech industry SME based in Cambridge who are seeking a Financial Controller to join their busy and growing business.

    With responsibility for the full finance function in a standalone capacityyour responsibilities will include:
    • Intercompany and accounts consolidation across the group
    • Regulatory reporting and compliance on technical accounting - responsibility for auditing
    • Leadership of the quarterly budget planning process
    • Liaison across the business regarding revenue targets and expense budgeting
    • Developing and improving finance processes and procedures
    • Main point of contact to senior leadership team on cash flow management
    • A/R & A/P management and maintenance
    • Payroll - oversight, checking, authorisation and sign off (end to end payroll knowledge essential)
    • Pension and expenses administration
    • Dealing with cost accounting and revenue recognition
    • Full responsibility for VAT returns and submission for both UK and European business
      To be successful in this role it is essential that you have the following experience and skills:

      - Xero system experience and confidence with Excel (vlookups/pivot tables)

      - A good background in management accounts (3 years min)

      - Recent end to end payroll experience and authorisation/sign off

      - VAT experience

      - Ideally experience within a business with international presence/offices
