OUR TEAMBX Merchandise is looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join our team, in an exciting, fast-paced environment. You will work closely with the whole team, including the Production Manager, as well as the Founder of BX Merchandise too. We run a successful, well-oiled machine and we are looking for someone to add-value and compliment the existing team, helping to expand our operations and grow our revenue and success.
ABOUT THE ROLE Ideally, we would like to find a candidate who has considerable experience in the promotional merchandise industry, with expert knowledge of the end-to-end sales process and production, including all print and branding methods. This key role will initially manage the work required to successfully run BX Merchandise sales growth and development, including the management of VIP client webstores and key client accounts. There is a clear career path and development plan for this role to progress towards people management, i.e. the line management of junior/new employees joining BX Merchandise.
The role involves managing the full end-to-end sales process, sourcing of branded merchandise and collateral for our clients. This client facing role spans all aspects of account handling, from the initial enquiry, through to invoicing, payments, logistics and most importantly ensuring customer satisfaction.
The successful candidate will act as the sales lead for BX Merchandise, building a strong rapport with our clients and overseeing the end-to-end sales pipeline. They will manage the creation of profitable client quotes, the accuracy of artwork proofs to ensure adherence to brand guidelines, and communicating with clients for approval. The Sales Manager will need to check orders raised, manage our worldwide supplier base, liaise with fulfilment partners, couriers and delegate work to junior/new BX employees to ensure all orders are successfully delivered within agreed timelines.
•Committed to the growth and development of the sales pipeline at BX Merchandise
•Dedicated to add-value by finding new sales opportunities and grow the customer base
•Ownership to ensure the profitability of orders and sales department as a whole
•Experienced in CRM/database management, especially with regards to the sales funnel
•Successfully manage key account webstores, including the management of third-party partners, such as web designers/developers, fulfilment partners, etc.
•Confident organising and leading sales meetings and delivering polished presentations
•Experienced in client account handling & management
•Confidence to support and provide cover for the Company Director when required
•Capable in providing training, coaching & delegating work to junior/new employees
•A strong team player, able to motivate, coach and develop others
•An expert using Microsoft Office and a CRM system, (ideally Workbooks)
•Experienced using the Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop and Illustrator
•Eager to learn and grow leadership skills within the role
•Experienced in sourcing products from suppliers, creating accurate quotes, raising purchase orders, taking payments, and liaising with logistics partners to ensure client deadlines are met
•Able to manage and deliver social networking campaigns, blogs, promotional newsletters and mail-outs and other marketing collateral
•Commitment to drive process improvements and the adoption of new tools/platforms to improve business procedures
•Able to juggle ad-hoc duties/tasks to meet the demands of the business ABOUT YOU
We would expect that this role would be best suited to candidates with significant promotional merchandise/B2B experience. The key attributes required for this position are a commitment to grow the revenue and profitability of the business, good commercial acumen, organisation skills and a keen eye for detail. There is lots of scope for personal and professional development within this role, as the company continues to expand.
