    We have an exciting opportunity to join our Group Financial Reporting team who are the gatekeepers of finance across the Group.

    Responsibility for implementation and adherence to Group accounting policies is only part of it; Accounting for complex areas and transactions
    Providing accounting guidance to regional finance teams
    Developing a robust control framework while driving excellent data quality for decision making
    Balance sheet contro l, review , and risk management
    Audit relationship management and statutory obligation compliance
    Management and identification of accounting risk and opportunity
    The Financial Preporting Assurance Accountant role focuses on a number of areas.
    Review the accounting for acquisitions and other complex transactions.
    Form part of the second line of defence over areas of accounting risk
    Assist in the delivery of accounting papers and audit committee documents over key accounting issues
    Assist regional finance teams with ad-hoc accounting queries
    Provide guidance for new accounting issues across the Group
    Review of the Group's financial statements and external tax report to ensure their accuracy and compliance with accounting and reporting standards
    Deliver robust quality control procedures over all areas of the Group's external reporting
    Strong technical accounting knowledge
    Experience of audit and statutory processes preferred
