    Sixth Form Student Support Officer - Chestnut Grove AcademyJob IntroductionTerm time only (39 weeks a year) 8.30am – 4.30pmRequired as soon as possibleWe are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to work with our Director/Head of Sixth Form/KS5 Safeguarding Lead.

    This role plays a crucial part in our inclusive school, to provide personalised support and intervention to some of our most vulnerable Sixth Form students.

    The role will include implementing effective intervention strategies, mentoring and a proactive role in liaising with parents/carers, social workers and other relevant key professionals to promote progress academically, emotionally and socially.

    Chestnut Grove is a high performing, 11-18, multi-cultural school in Balham, South London, with a number of awards for its inclusive approach including UNICEF Gold Status We have recently completed a multi-million pound building programme, which has provided staff and students with modern facilities.

    Our motto is a 'Creative Learning Community', demonstrating a commitment to providing our students with an innovative and exciting curriculum.

    In 2019 Ofsted judged our Sixth Form to be Outstanding in every respect.

    From September we anticipate a roll of circa 300 students and will be offering 26 A level subjects and 6 BTEC level 3 courses, with A level student progress scores placing the Sixth Form in the top 10% nationally, for value added As the lead partner in the Wandle Learning Partnership we are able to offer exceptional opportunities for professional development.
