    Wifinity was founded in 2007 to solve a problem—our armed forces were struggling with reliable connectivity. While living in barracks, often in remote locations, ordering a landline and booking in an engineer just wasn't an option.

    And that problem isn't exclusive to the military, either. Students living in University accommodation, families visiting holiday resorts, or living in shared accommodation and retirement communities.

    Conventional home broadband doesn't always work for them. Wifinity is different. We offer the same benefits as traditional broadband, such as super-fast speeds, WiFi, and secure and private networks, but none of the downsides. We even offer Pay As You Go and flexible contracts, so customers only pay for what they need without hefty penalties or long contract terms. We take the complexity out of connectivity.

    The opportunity:

    We are looking for a part qualified Junior Management Accountant to join our Group Finance Team. In this role you will be supporting the accounting for our 2 subsidiary companies.​

    You will have the chance to work with stakeholders at varying levels, and directly contribute to the success of the businesses.

    Key areas of focus:

    Reporting to the Finance Manager of the larger of our 2 subsidiaries with a dotted line into the Wifinity Finance Manager; the role is responsible for the bookkeeping, using XERO accounting software, of 2 subsidiary companies (£2m Turnover & £7m turnover) and also management accounting duties for the smaller subsidiary.

    Your day to day role will consist of the following responsibilities, you may be required to carry out further responsibilities at the company's discretion.

    Both Subsidiaries

    • Processing invoices onto the accounting software.
    • Matching supplier invoices to approved purchase orders.
    • Verifying invoices and credit notes.
    • Resolving Supplier queries by telephone / email.
    • Supplier Statement reconciliation.
    • Processing monthly expenses from employees.
    • Processing AP payments onto accounting software.
    • Ad hoc tasks as and when required.

    Smaller Subsidiary

    • Posting Journals (including payroll journals).
    • Posting Accruals and Prepayments and maintaining schedules.
    • Maintain Deferred Income schedule and posting of related journals.
    • Calculation and processing of monthly Pass-through Revenue.
    • Quarterly VAT returns.
    • Maintain Fixed Asset register.
    • Bank reconciliations.
    • Prepare and submit month end Management Accounts workbook.
    • Ad hoc tasks as and when required.

    General

    • Supporting the wider finance team as and when required.

    About you: ​

    ​ You will be an accounting student with strong bookkeeping experience using XERO accounting software. As a minimum, you will also have exposure to management accounting duties at a junior level with a strong desire to learn and develop within this role. We are looking for a self- starter with a good level of initiative who is intent on gaining experience in a modern, fast-moving company to develop their career.

    • ​​Previous experience of bookkeeping
    • Previous experience of junior management accounting
    • Experience using XERO
    • Excel skills

    It would be nice to also have

    • Experience of working in a PE-backed business
    • Experience of working in SME sized organisations
    • Experience of the Tech/Telco sector
