    Operations Risk & Compliance Lead
    Hybrid Working Model

    We're looking for an Operational Risk & Compliance Lead with the ability to develop and implement appropriate frameworks and processes along with a track record of guiding and motivating colleagues to ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations as well as ensuring the management of risk and issues is robust.

    Working with operational teams, you'll be accountable for both enterprise and functional risk & issues along with maintaining compliance with both a 'run the operation' and 'change the operation' lens.

    Develop, implement, and maintain the operational risk, issue and compliance frameworks, ensuring that robust policies, procedures and processes are in place, that identify and respond to all relevant scenarios.

    Establish, quantify and track against operations 'risk appetite', i.e. the level of risk they are prepared to accept.

    Oversee operational risk, issue and compliance, ensuring that effective, internal and external, reporting and monitoring systems are in place and optimised.

    Analyse, monitor and coordinate the management of potential operational risk, issue or compliance challenges arising from changes in industry, government, legislation, regulation, regulatory guidance, business practice or other relevant circumstances.

    Develop and lead the campaign to raise the risk, issue and compliance awareness within operational teams, including educating and training staff on potential risk and the techniques used to identify and mitigate such risk.

    Report operational risk, issue and compliance in an appropriate way for different audiences.

    This includes the Senior Leadership Team so they understand the most significant risks, and business 'Heads Of' to ensure they are aware of risks relevant to their parts of the business, and to individuals to understand their accountability for individual risks.

    Be an active contributor to the Group Risk and Compliance Committee, bringing relevant items for discussion.

    A strong background in a maturing risk, issue and compliance landscape with a clear vision of what good looks like coupled with a pragmatic approach to evolution.

    Demonstrable experience in creation and implementation of policies that ensure organisational control and compliance within both a regulated environment and corporate governance.
