Description
Do you have experience in managing teams in a Production environment? Are you looking for your next step in our Production career? Do you want to be part of an extremely exciting period of development, in a brand new purpose built facility?We are currently recruiting for a Zone Lead to join our Production Team, working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
Leading a specific area of our Production on your shift, you will be responsible for line management of colleagues, and ensuring that Production plans are met.
Ensure that Health & Safety and Hygiene standards are implemented, adhered to and maintained within the Manufacturing areaEnsure systems and understanding are in place for raw material management from stock through to maximising yield and stock utilisation throughout the manufacturing process.
Ensure that costs are managed and that production data is recorded and monitored on a daily, weekly and annual basis in order to monitor performance weekly against agreed budgets.
Ensure systems and understanding are in place to oversee the management of Packaging stock and consumption throughout the manufacturing process.
Escalation of all repairs, maintenance and servicing of production equipment and site facilities.With the support of the AMFresh HR team take responsibility for managing, developing, motivating and retaining staff in the production teams; recruiting new people, managing holidays, absence management, identifying training and development needs to make sure that the productions teams have the rights skills, managing disciplinary and capability issues.
Ensure all technical and legislative requirements are fulfilled during production process including traceability of product and packaging.Experience of managing a team in a production environment, ideally within the fresh produce sector
Experience of managing staff including recruitment, performance management and appraisals

Based in the village of Alconbury, 5 miles outside of Huntingdon, AM Fresh UK continues to grow year on year and can offer a wealth of career and development opportunities at one of the area's largest employers.

The site will be operational in 2023 and will showcase a variety of high-tech automation to serve the packing of fresh fruit and vegetables to major retailers.
The business has invested heavily into this facility which further demonstrates the growth plans for the Group.
