    COMPANY:

    ARTELIA PROJECTS UK("AUK") is a London based company part of aninternational, multi-disciplinary consultancy, engineering and project management group specialising in the sectors of building construction, infrastructure, water, industry and environment.

    The group employs over7,300 peopleacross more than40 countries.
    Project, Programme, Cost and Asset Management are AUK's specialisms.
    MAIN DUTIES &


    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    You will report directly to AUK Managing Director while working closely with the Group's legal team.

    You will advise stakeholders on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters, be involved with the drafting, review and negotiation of a variety of commercial contracts (including bespoke and standard forms of agreements) .

    This role will also involve risk assessments, proposal's review, advising upon day-to-day project issues and providing input into the internal governance and regulatory processes.

    You will be in charge of managing pre-litigation and litigation situations, both as plaintiff and defendant (definition of strategy and preparation and follow-up of cases in coordination with operational staff, external law firms and insurers).

    You will provide support to the Company Secretary.

    You will be in charge of implementing and monitoring ARTELIA Group policies, particularly in terms of insurance, compliance and ethics, GDPR, etc.

    You will take part in cross-disciplinary activities of the Group's legal department: development and implementation of training sessions for operational teams, drafting of standard contract terms, dissemination of legal information, etc.


    EXPERIENCE:

    The job requires a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' experience preferably in the infrastructure or building construction sector.

    Knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Construction Design and Management regulations as well as of standard industry contracts such as JCT, NEC or RICS would be a plus.


    SKILLS:
    ability to communicate well with a wide range of internal stakeholders,
    good negotiating and drafting skills,
    commercial awareness with an ability to provide pragmatic solutions.
    Knowledge of French would be an advantage.


    LOCATION:
    London offices of the Company High Holborn) with occasional national travels. Hybrid working.
