    Japanese speaking Sales Executive - London, United Kingdom - Centre People Appointments

    A Japanese food related material manufacturer is currently recruiting a Japanese-speaking Sales.

    In this role you will be serving as the contact for sales and import related activities, developing new customers, communicating effectively with existing/future customers, and making sure orders are completed in a timely manner, managing the documentation process, and work with HQ to arrange transportation.

    Understanding the European food trend and identifying new products /technologies/suppliers and report them to HQ. Business level fluency in both English and Japanese is needed. No previous experience as training is given, as long as you have good communication skill in Japanese and English as well as passion for sales in food industry.

    TYPE: Permanent, full-time

    WORKING HOURS: from Monday to Friday

    SALARY: £25-32K DOE + Commute allowance

    LOCATION: City of London (Currently hybrid work style - It may change depending on the company's decision.)

    Sales Executive Responsibilities:

    Sales activities


    • Identify new target categories /customers by doing market analysis and incorporate them into the actual sales activities


    • Review target categories/customers in response to the change of environmental surroundings/market needs


    • Subdivide sales purpose and set up its goal


    • Create a sales activity plan and execute it


    • Negotiate the price with both customer and HQ


    • Send PO to HQ as receiving orders from customer


    • Deliver the goods with necessary shipping arrangement/documents by working with other organization


    • Obtain forecast from customer for the systematic delivery


    • Liaise between HQ and customers for all inquiries such as claims and technical matter


    • Facilitate visits and virtual meetings with customers (e.g. R&D, Procurement, Regulatory dept)

    Import logistic activities


    • Create / send necessary shipping documents with other organization


    • Communicate the forwarder and HQ to proceed shipment as needed


    • Deliver the products correctly to the place where customer desired

    New business development


    • Investigate and report on the current food markets in Europe (Trend, New product, Companies, Regulation etc)


    • Investigate and report on new technology, ingredients in Europe


    • Investigate new raw material / suppliers and obtain the samples/documentations upon the request of HQ


    • Participate in the conference / exhibitions to find the new technologies/ingredients/suppliers


    • Identify the new business opportunities where market trends needs and our product portfolio match

    Sales Executive Ideal Candidate:


    • Knowledge and experience in market analysis and put them into the sales practice


    • Able to approach the target and start the conversation with customers


    • Capability of identifying customers' problem and guide them to the best solutions as well as write it clearly and informatively


    • Good understanding of selling products


    • Establish a good rapport with the customers


    • Able to handle all trading matters with good time management skill


    • Good listener to different points of views and to exercise sound judgement in decision
    • making and problem solving


    • Establish positive working relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds


    • Able to read and understand complex texts, and summarize key contents


    • Able to analyze the information such as market data and product data, and identify relevant information

    Business level of fluency in both English and Japanese
