    Description

    Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Health and Safety Compliance Manager for our client a government organisation based in London, Kensington.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for developing organisation's policy and process and implementing Safe Systems of Working and Compliance Management to the Corporate Estate.

    This is a 3 month starting contract with the possibility for extensions.

    Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:

    • Develop, implement and maintain a training programme for senior management, duty holders, premises controllers and contractors assuring the Council buildings and maintained and operated in a safe manner.
    • Act as the organisation's Responsible Person in respect of Water and Asbestos Management and to appoint and co-ordinate the Responsible Persons and Authorising Engineers for other Service delivery elements acting on behalf of the Director of Corporate Property
    • Managing, supporting and monitoring the operational elements of multiple FM Service Contracts to ensure full compliance with contract and statutory requirements.
    • Provide the organisation and the Director of Corporate Property with management reports pertaining to the level and performance of compliance to the Corporate estate.
    • Act as the operational contact point for escalated issues and complaints relating to hard FM Services, ensuring rectification actions are taken by the service provider(s) and customers are clearly communicated with.
    • Ensure buildings and processes are regularly audited to ensure compliance is met and highlight any issues with service failure by the service provider(s) and any actions arising are promptly rectified.
    • Develop and implement a system of electronic site log books to provide a robust, integrated management information system for premises Controllers and contractors.
    • Responsible for Fire Evacuation Plans for Corporate Estate.
    • Management of TrackRecord.
    • Management of integration with BV Statutory Insurance.
    Personal Requirements:
    • Experience working for a local authority.
    • Experienced working in a Health and Safety role.
    • Have and understanding of facilities management (FM), RAMS, permits to work, statutory compliance of buildings.
    • Qualified with a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health and IOSH Managing Safely.
    • Have excellent IT and systems skills.
    • Experience in the development and implementation of health & safety policies.
    • Understanding of statutory & mandatory requirements to the built environment.
    • Working with a diverse portfolios and stakeholder engagement.
