    Senior Copywriter - United Kingdom - Cambium Learning Group

    Description

    Seasoned writer, conceptual thinker, creative strategist, and creative problem solver with significant education or EdTech industry experience (particular focus on Science of Reading) and a deep understanding and passion for the same. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing Creative Services and will work closely with our internal marketing partners as well as the Senior Designer and other members of the Marketing Creative Services team to develop effective communications and messaging that align with the company's mission and brand voice and convey the unique benefits of our various learning solutions.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Serve as the voice of Learning A-Z and its products in all marketing communications, demonstrating exceptional grasp of our products as well as the literacy market overall.

    Develop original marketing materials—from concept to written manuscript to completion.

    Handle a full range of writing—from social ads to landing pages to flyer to whitepapers.

    Create smart, insightful, benefit-driven copy that engages our customers and prospects.

    Ensure continuity and consistency in all of our messaging, regardless of vehicle or platform.

    Collaborate with product marketing managers, campaign managers, and other key partners.

    Demonstrate market and Science of Reading knowledge by providing feedback and edits to colleagues of all levels across the organization to help enhance our marketing pieces

    Navigate ambiguity and bring clarity to the purpose of pieces, their impact and audience by working with leaders across marketing and the LAZ organization.

    Partner with the Senior Designer to elevate the quality of our marketing communications.

    Maintain a thorough knowledge of our company and product branding and messaging.

    Maintain a thorough knowledge of the key features and benefits of our learning solutions.

    Maintain a thorough knowledge of our customers, our competitors, and our industry.

    Job Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree in education or a related discipline

    Exceptional communicator with excellent writing, presenting, and storytelling skills

    6+ years of experience as a copywriter for an education or EdTech company, with a preference for literacy experience

    Excellent understanding of current education topics and experience writing about them

    Versatile writer who can do it all (ads, collateral, emails, webpages, case studies, etc.)

    Self-sufficient multitasker who is able to manage multiple projects at the same time

    Team player who enjoys working collaboratively and plays well with others

    Open to new ideas, new approaches, new solutions, new platforms

    Passionate about education both personally and professionally

    Computer proficiency, including Microsoft 365
