    Description

    SMV Associates Limited are offering the chance for a candidate to take part in an Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship. We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join our Tiverton office to start in August 2024. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team to provide excellent service to our clients.

    Monday - Friday; 9.00am - 5.00pm (breaks to be confirmed).

    Total hours per week: 37.5

    The training you will be getting

    As well as on-the-job training you will attend Richard Huish College for one day per week and work towards the following:

    • Functional Skills in maths, ICT and English (if applicable)

    What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

    • For the right candidate there is the possibility of being supported through your accountancy career all the way through to professional status

    GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 5) Desired

    Things to consider

    This is an office-based job, and some tasks can be a little repetitive at times. You will need to be logical, well organised and enjoy problem solving.

    About the employer

    SMV Associates are a fast growing firm based in Tiverton. We are looking for a new trainee who can progress through the professional exams and grow with the firm.

    You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:

    • training
    • qualifications, like an NVQ in a relevant field

    If your application is successful, you will have a chance to discuss your relevant prior learning or experience with your training provider and employer. You will all need to agree any adjustments to your training plan.

    You should be prepared to show your competence, and evidence of relevant qualifications
