Working with a host of stakeholders whose key objective is to put the child at the centre of everything we do, the Sandwell Children Safeguarding Partnership are offering a unique and exciting opportunity for a committed, forward thinking, strategically minded and innovative Business Manager to lead the Business Unit.
In your role you will have overall responsibility, providing high level management focus to the planning, development, delivery and monitoring of the priorities and objectives of the strategic partnership.
Working collaboratively must be a key strength, you will need to lead your team to ensure the fundamentals are met, such as meeting our statutory responsibilities, both in terms of our national and local requirements. But more is required, you'll need to draw on your experiences and provide advice and guidance whilst demonstrating great credibility within your field of expertise and of course to be successful you will need to be able to quickly build rapport and confidence across the network or stakeholders to maintain and importantly improve successful joint working arrangements.
You will be able to balance managing a team partnership office, whilst also working closely with the Independent Scrutineer and Executive Board members, to support the delivery of the strategic priorities which aim to ensure that robust safeguarding arrangements are in place.

Being able to demonstrate experience of leading in a complex partnership environment is a must.
You will need to explain using your professional knowledge and experience of safeguarding as well as your track record in operational management how you have supported on-going service improvements.
Have you built and maintained positive relationships through a period of negativity or deep change can you negotiate and influence at a strategic level, if so, we would love to receive your application.
