    Responsibilities:

  • Driving improvement in a segment of the business in the area of continuous improvement and quality.
  • Responsible for the output of a successful Continuous improvement program is a reduced operating cost base, improved capability while the output of a successful quality program is increased satisfaction levels in the customer base.
  • Cascades targets to plants within the Business Unit and uses key methodologies required to deliver the annual cost savings targets and uses Operational Excellence methodology to deliver improvements in customer facing metrics, while reducing risk to Alkegen.
  • Focuses on the improvement of internal processes to deliver improved customer satisfaction, reduced risk while engaging teams in the BU to operate with a "zero defect" and "zero loss" cultural mindset by the development of a lean capability in the sites.
  • Ensures that the end to end supply chain is controlled and internal and outsourced activities minimize risk to Alkegen.
  • Ensures that plants become and stay in compliance with regulatory requirements (eg ISO9001 / IATF16949) applicable to the business unit.
  • Strategy - Able to set the vision and strategies for the business, gain alignment and excel in execution. Aligns the local needs of the business to the global strategies as well as contributing to the development of these strategies. Understands the external environment /competitors and actively scans for threats to the established business, as well as identifying /capitalizing on consumer trends and insights, to develop creative / breakthrough solutions.

    Qualifications

  • BS Degree in engineering related discipline.
  • Prior experience in manufacturing quality, process development (5-10 years).
  • Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • High level understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, Process Capability, Root Cause Analysis, G8D, DFMEA,
  • PFEMA, MSA, Control
  • Significant prior experience in quality engineering / assurance with exposure to ISO9001 standards,
  • ideally IATF16949 standards and AIAG core tools and VDA standards
  • Excellent people, communication, team building and organizational skills essential
  • Proficient in Adaptive Coaching skills of listening, asking and responding.
  • Proficiency in Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office Suite
