    Description

    To work alongside medical examiners officer colleagues to support the medical examiner in their role in scrutinising the circumstances and causes of death.

    To be a point of contact and source of advice for relatives of deceased patients, healthcare professionals and Coroner and registration services.

    To be able to coordinate and manage the MEO paperwork and manage the relevant databases and report accordingly.
    To manage the Trust's Medical Examiner's system supporting the Lead ME and colleague MEO's.


    Support the integration and implementation of the ME process in the Trust, with the aim of improving reporting and trend analysis and therefore quality and effectiveness of clinical services and patient care.

    To recognise the independence of the ME service and the accountability to the Regional Medical Examiner Officer.
