    Description

    Introduction

    RMS Publishing have developed a NEW e-learningpackage in line with the 2011 NEBOSH International General Certificatesyllabus.

    Users are easily able to move between the different elements with thebuttons being clearly labelled and visible; they may also go back over thepages of information for further reference. The active time spent ineach of the elements is timed by the application and is accessible by theuser so that progress can be monitored against suggested study hours.

    Content:

    • Unit IGC1 - Management of international health and safety
    • Unit IGC2 - Control of international workplace risks
    • Unit IGC3 - Health and safety practical application

    Each Unit is divided into individual 'Elements' to mirror the NEBOSHsyllabus, boasts intuitive navigation that leads delegates logicallythrough the software element by element, with each element having its ownindex referencing the syllabus content headings.

    Each element is supported by:

    • Active time management - Tracks and records study time within thematerials, exercises and assessments. Coupled with the study schedule helpsdelegates manage their time and achieve their targets.
    • Learning outcomes - An overview of the element and what is expectedto be learnt.
    • Learning materials - Core learning pdfs/videos, sources of referenceand relevant international conventions and recommendations.
    • Learning exercises - Multiple choice and written. Tests understandingand knowledge of the materials, backed up by proposed answers.
    • Confirmation of understanding tasks -Additional exercises to help confirm understanding and reinforce theknowledge gained.
    • Hazard identification - Interactive exercise tests your ability toidentify potential hazards from an image of a workplace.
    • Drag and Drop - Interactive exercise involves completion of thedefinitions, images and categories.
    • Risk assessment – Includes a review of completed risk assessmentswhich offer questions based on the '5 steps approach'. Also a range ofinteractive visual workplace exercises requiring the identification ofhazards, associated risk and control actions.
    • Workplace inspection - Requires you to review an image of aworkplace, identify the hazards or good working practices and recommendsuitable controls.

    Dynamic features:

    • Study schedule – 12 week study plan that includes step by stepinstructions, an interactive time table and exam preparation.
    • Personal history – Tracks all exercises and study time broken down byelement.
    • Student notes – Create and print notes with full formatting options.
    • Relevant statutory provisions (UK).

    Exam Preparation

    • Exam practice - Sit a series of 1 hour time based assessment, inpreparation for the exam.
    • Mock exam paper - Sit a full 2 hour mock exam paper, in preparationfor the exam. Includes model answers and marking guidance.

    Resources and Support

    • Fully supported by an introduction, help, FAQ, technical and tutorsupport messaging system.
    • Includes a host of resources including; exam paper exercises, examprocedures, syllabus, sample exam papers and useful links
