    Aboutthe job

    Responsible for theproduction of programmes for the Design Procurement ConstructionInstallation & Commissioning activities for each projectfrom inception feasibility tender and bid phases through tocompletion; also liaising with construction and site personnel toupdate programmes reviewing the progress of programmes on a regularcycle and assessing producing of management insight andreporting.

    The project types range from large EHVcabling substation construction to new energy low carbon buildprojects.

    Responsibilities:

    • The analysis and evaluation of project tender and biddocuments in order to build detailed programmes specifying costtime and resource requirements (NEC or other contracttypes).
    • Liaise with members of tender and bidteams during the tender process as required and coordinate theirinput into planning activities.
    • Development oftender and bid programmes into construction programmes (1stprincipals).
    • Production and updating ofprogrammes throughout the duration and life cycle ofProjects.
    • Implement change control processes:including early warnings compensations events andconstruction/project managers instructions as and when required andsupply chain inputs/outputs. Detail the effects the aforementionedchange events early warnings and project managers instructions tothe approved programme and report back to the businessareas.
    • Coordination of inputs and outputsinto/form the programme from the construction team and take thelead on programme development and timely updating analysis andcritique.
    • Review construction progress withinput from the construction team including the supply chain updateprogrammes and produce MI/MO reports as necessary
    • Create earned value/project reporting encompassingresource & cost loading with associated CPI & SPIreporting.
    • Highlight areas of concern withregard to construction progress and review risks and mitigationmeasures with the construction and delivery teams.
    • Assist the Project Manager as directed with planningrelated matters.
    • Attend meetings as requiredwith Project Teams and Clients.
    • Liaise withClients Planners Construction Managers and Project Managers asrequired.
    • Attend site regularly (if not basedon site) to assist teams with planning matters.
    • Collation of progress information & production ofprogress reporting as required.
    • Ensureplanning techniques across the Company are complied with andadhered to.
    • Management and supervision of otherPlanners as directed by the PlanningManager.

    QualificationsandRequirements:

    • HNC(Construction related) orequivalent.
    • Demonstration of knowledge andpractical application of project controls planning and constructionactivities.
    • Computer literate with a goodworking knowledge of planning and controls tools and techniquesMicrosoft Office Microsoft Project PrimaveraP6
    • Construction Skills Certification Scheme(CSCS) card Visitor Yellow (can beobtained).
