    Job Description

    Technical Lead

    Simply Commerce are partnered with a fast growing D2C Retail business with stores across the UK and recently opened in New York. They are looking to build out their internal tech team by hiring a Technical Lead and Full Stack Engineer. As part of this newly built team, you will work across their tech landscape which covers eCommerce, POS, manufacturing, even the opportunity to dabble in some Machine Learning.

    Tech stack includes Python, Shopify, PHP, and AWS.

    Responsibilities:

    • Providing technical guidance, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices
    • Collaboration with the development team and internal stakeholders to create efficient and scalable application architecture, emphasising reusability and maintainability.
    • Taking ownership of development projects, participate in project planning, set realistic timelines, and meet project milestones and deadlines.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues and bugs, ensuring optimal performance and seamless user experience.
    • Implementing best practices for quality assurance, testing and security to ensure the delivery of robust and reliable software solutions.
    • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications, architecture diagrams, and API documentation.

    Experience:

    • 5+ years of Full Stack Development with some technical & people leadership experience.
    • Experience building, launching and maintaining web stores, as well as general knowledge of admin systems (order, customer or inventory)
    • Experience working in a small eCommerce business (ideally D2C) working with wider business stakeholders would be ideal.
    • Tech experience with PHP, Python, Javascript, AWS and Shopify - If you've worked on some and are comfortable picking up different tech quickly that will be considered.
    • Experience with third party integrations & API's
    • Strong willed, able to challenge and make decisions.

    2-3 days in office in Central London - collaboration and understanding of the wider business is important.

    Salary up to £99,500 with EMI options after 2 years.
