    Pharmacy Lead - SACT - Up to £60,000 - Private Hospital - Guildford - Full time

    We are currently seeking a dynamic Pharmacy Lead to join our dedicated team within the Pharmacy Department.
    This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible shift schedule.


    Pharmacy Lead - SACT Responsibilities:

    • Ensure all prescribing activities are conducted via the Private Hospital Group's electronic software.
    • Offer expert advice to support medication management, prescribing practices, and clinical use within the oncology facility.
    • Inspire and motivate pharmacists and healthcare professionals to take ownership of medicine management services within the oncology unit.
    • Participate as a member of the hospital's multidisciplinary oncology team.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of corporate and hospital prescribing guidelines, along with new oncology policies.
    • Serve as an educational resource for both staff and patients regarding prescribed medications and their administration within oncology facilities.

    Pharmacy Lead - SACT Key Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (M Pharm or B Pharm) or BSc in Pharmacy, with registration on the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician, or inclusion on the General Pharmaceutical Council Pharmacy Technicians register.
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a UK hospital pharmacy setting, with demonstrated team management and mentoring skills, as well as budget management experience.
    • Proficient in organizational and planning abilities, with a focus on risk management. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively engaging with individuals across various levels within the hospital setting.
    • Familiarity with General Pharmaceutical Council Codes of Professional Conduct, Ethics, and Performance, along with understanding of Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.


    25 days of annual leave per year, plus bank holidays, with an increase to 30 days based on service length.
