    Description

    Join our client's team as a Commercial Manager and be at the forefront of driving excellence in commercial management for a leading principal contractor.

    In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in overseeing pre-construction activities across a diverse range of commercial sectors including retail, education, leisure, and more.

    You'll manage projects from cradle to grave, ensuring seamless coordination and optimal outcomes.


    Pre-construction Leadership: Lead the commercial strategy during the pre-construction phase, collaborating closely with stakeholders to ensure comprehensive project planning and budgeting.


    Financial Management:
    Oversee budgeting, cost control, and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle. Monitor project finances rigorously to ensure alignment with company objectives and client expectations.

    Contract Management:
    Negotiate contracts and agreements with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients, ensuring terms are favorable and mitigate risks effectively.

    Risk Management:
    Identify and mitigate commercial risks through proactive analysis and strategic planning. Implement measures to safeguard project profitability and compliance.

    Team Collaboration:
    Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other key stakeholders to drive cohesive project delivery. Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on commercial matters.

    Performance Analysis:

    Conduct regular performance reviews and analysis to evaluate project profitability, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.

    Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and professionalism in all commercial activities.
    Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
    Proven experience as a Commercial Manager within the construction industry, with a track record of successful project delivery.
    Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen, with the ability to manage contracts and drive cost-effective solutions.
    Proficiency in relevant software and tools for financial analysis and project management.
