    Senior Practice Manager / Business Lead – Bearsted Medical Practice

    Bearsted Medical Practice are seeking to recruit a Senior Practice Manager and Business Lead. The role is supported by a Practice Manager, Reception Lead and Operations Lead.

    We are a long-established 8-partner GP practice serving 15,500 patients in the semi-rural communities of Bearsted and surrounding village areas. A staff of 40 operates from purpose-built, modern surgery premises. We are a growing and thriving practice which is well organised and managed, and we run a stable partnership model. We are a popular training practice in Kent and support multiple GP registrars and other doctors in training. Bearsted is the largest practice in its PCN and has a full complement of ARRS funded staff who are directly employed by the surgery. We are a profitable dispensing practice.

    Following the departure of our previous Business Manager due to relocation, we are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Business Manager to lead and run the Practice. The surgery embraces innovation and has recently expanded patient access through pioneering the use of AccuRx Total Triage.

    About you:

    You will already be working in a senior management role where you have responsibility for leading and motivating a diverse team including senior professional colleagues. You will have a strong interest in financial management and strategic business planning.

    You will have a strong delivery focus and understand how our primary business focus must always emphasise patient satisfaction. You will be accustomed to complexity and will not be overawed by taking overall responsibility for the effective functioning of a very busy practice.

    In addition to your leadership qualities, you will be IT literate and have excellent organisational, business-planning and financial management skills. GP practice/healthcare sector experience is desirable but not essential: we are looking for transferable finance, management and leadership skills.
