    A new and exciting opportunity has emerged for an additional Service Delivery Manager role. This position aims to bolster the Critical Care Division by offering operational management support and leadership of our administrative and clerical staff to the wider team.

    The successful candidate will have autonomy in managing a team of administrative staff offering training, support, and guidance to maintain and enhance service levels consistently. Collaborating closely with nursing and medical leaders, they will oversee environmental aspects and collaborate with the wider Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) on projects and initiatives to enhance our clinical services.

    Responsibilities also include dedicated project and administrative support for MDT initiatives, such as organising meetings, taking minutes, and developing action plans. Working in tandem with the counterpart Service Delivery Manager, this role ensures robust administration processes across our 4 Critical Care Units, necessitating cross-site collaboration.

    This presents an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a lateral move to gain managerial experience in a clinical service or those aspiring to step into a management role. The position is suitable for individuals in a band 5 role or a similar level, offering prospects for growth and professional development.

    Remote working of up to 2 days per week is available subject to service needs.

    Main duties of the job We are looking for someone who meets the below criteria:
    • Minimum 1 year at Band 5 level or equivalent
    • You must be a quick learner, proactive and able to problem solve
    • be able to demonstrate relevant experience, in particular line management of staff
    • must be strongly orientated towards service and staff improvement
    • Must have excellent interpersonal skills - written and verbal
    • Intermediate to advanced IT skills
    • ability to remain confident and calm under pressure
    • ability to prioritise an extremely busy workload and work effectively with other members of the Clinical and Divisional management team.

    • Degree and/or an appropriate professional qualification or equivalent.
    • Excellent IT skills including good working knowledge of MS packages
    Experience Essential
    • Previous managerial experience in a large and complex organisation p
    • Proven experience in service improvement and development
    • Proven experience in effective management of budget and effective leadership of staff
    • Proven experience of business planning and in the development and effective implementation of complex strategic & operational plans.
    • Demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of current issues and practices within the NHS.
    • A proven record of success in managing change whilst also developing and maintaining high standards of quality.
    Skills & Abilities Essential
    • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to liaise and negotiate effectively at directorate management level.
    • Ability to work both cooperatively and with clinical and non -clinical staff including other management teams within the Trust and to and to develop effective working relationships within the Directorate.
    • Strong negotiation and influencing skills with the ability to motivate and engage individuals and teams.
    • Quality focussed with an innovative approach and the ability to solve complex problems.
    • Evidence of political awareness and sensitivity to the high profile of the Trust.
