    Description

    Here at Oakleaf we are proud to be partnering with a major retailer who are seeking a Senior Manager of learning and Development to join their thriving team.

    Location: Central London (with some travel to Swindon) 3 days Office / 2 days wfh
    Salary: £65k plus car

    About the Role:

    As the Senior Manager, Learning & Development, you will be responsible for driving and executing the learning & development strategy that aligns with my clients organisational goals. You will create clear career and growth opportunities for all their employees and identify the future skills needed to accelerate business growth. Reporting directly to the Group Head of Learning & Talent Development, you will collaborate closely with the wider learning & talent development team, senior leaders, people partners, DEI & subject matter experts to identify training needs, develop impactful programs, and foster a culture of continuous learning.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    Strategic Leadership:

    Implement and drive the learning and development strategy.
    Lead initiatives that promote a culture of learning and growth.
    Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to enhance our learning programs.
    Manage third-party vendor relationships and participate in the RFI/RFP process for vendor selection.
    Programme Development & Delivery:

    Design, develop, and deliver innovative learning solutions tailored to various employee levels and functions.
    Collaborate with the Senior Manager, Digital Learning Experience to design engaging e-learning content.
    Identify training needs through stakeholder collaboration and performance gap analysis.
    Lead the design and delivery of a group-wide onboarding program.
    Serve as the business owner/SME of the LMS platform (Astute).
    Oversee group mandatory training delivery and reporting.
    Change Management:

    Support change management efforts with learning interventions for successful organisational transitions, new technology implementations, and process changes.
    Leadership Development:

    Design and implement a group leadership framework aligned with company values.
    Lead the development of leadership programs to enhance inclusive leadership capabilities.
    Evaluation & Improvement:

    Establish metrics to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning programs.
    Analyze feedback and data to continuously improve learning initiatives and ROI.
    Implement methods to measure employee skill development and performance improvements.

    The ideal candidate:

    Proven experience in learning and development roles within a complex, multi-geographical/site business.
    Previous experience in owning, managing, and administering an LMS.
    Strong understanding of adult learning principles and training delivery techniques.
    Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, using data to support decision-making.
    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
    Creative and resourceful with a tenacious appetite to deliver.
    Experience in psychometric testing (preferred).
    A positive, 'can-do' attitude.
