    Join us as a Security Operations Manager

  • We'll look to you to lead the team to make sure they are fully compliant and protected from security vulnerabilities
  • You'll be building and executing a security strategy and roadmap for how security delivers outcomes to improve the protection of the business from credible threats
  • This is an opportunity to achieve excellent exposure in a challenging role and to make a real impact with your work

    What you'll do

    In this key role, you and your team will be covering all areas of security monitoring and incident response for NatWest Boxed and Mettle. You will be supporting them in their career growth and working on continuous improvement of operational processes Additionally, you'll be:
  • Leading our monitoring (detection) and response (IR) enhancements with a focus on automation where possible
  • Regularly reviewing and documenting the challenges in SOC operations to efficiently reduce alert fatigue and improve our monitoring and detection
  • Enhancing our utilisation threat intelligence and proactively hunt for threats within our environments
  • Building security operations reporting capabilities
  • Ensuring we have the right skills across the team to detect and respond to incidents across our organisation
  • Communicating with key stakeholders and major business clients

    The skills you'll need

    To succeed in this role, you'll need experience of managing technical security teams in a senior leadership capacity, coupled with a passion for building an excellent security operations function You'll also demonstrate:
  • Able to remain calm and balanced in times of crisis
  • Able to work in fast paced environments
  • Great written and oral communication skills
  • Experience dealing with major incidents
  • Familiarity with investigations of events in tech stacks such as GCP and AWS cloud, kubernetes and it's application
  • Knowledge of Mac OS and Unix
