    How you will create an impact

    This position is responsible for delivering scheduled reports and analytics for the Claims department, whilst also supporting projects and process improvement initiatives.

    You will play a pivotal part in supporting the business plans and direction for the continuous improvement agenda of the Claims organisation.

    • Claims Ops BAU: Insight and Analytics split - 20:80
    • Oversee, automate and develop dashboards, reports and analytics.
    • Deliver analysis to identify performance development opportunities and create business cases for change.
    • Lead the preparation and presentation of analytical findings to stakeholders of different technical level.
    • Identify new opportunities to leverage analytics to support both top line and bottom line performance.
    • Drive Claims Lifecycle analysis, identifying process improvements in claims adjusting processes and ancillary tasks to actively reduce the claims lifecycle.
    • Support cost savings initiatives through the development of templates to capture data and the development of reports and analytics on third party fees, Fraud and Recoveries.
    • Collaborate with colleagues in Claims, IT and other departments to deliver key initiatives as needed.
    • Support the development and coaching of junior members in the Claims Operations team.
    • Act in a supporting role to the Head of Claims Operations, being an initial line of enquiry for Claims Operations queries from more junior member of the Claims Operations team.
    • Provide technical expertise as a Claims Operations SME to projects (internal and external) and changing regulatory needs and requirements, taking accountability for assessment through to delivery.
    • Support the Head of Claims Operations with SOX, Lloyd's, FCA / PRA / internal/external regulatory and control environment.
    • Ensure compliance with Talbot's claims handling strategy, putting the customer at the heart of all we do.
    • Support the Head of Claims Operations through attendance at various internal / external committees or seminars, assessing impact and opportunities and sharing knowledge within Claims Operations thereafter.
    • Represent Claims in relation to Data Governance and attend Talbot's DGC committee.
    • Identify process efficiencies, working with the wider Claims Operations team to carry out problem solving activities and promote process improvement initiatives.
    • Manage and respond to regulatory reporting requirements (Department of Insurance regulatory returns and the like).
    • Manage Talbot Claims external peer review, under stewardship of the Head of Claims Operations.
    • Be technically competent in Talbot's Claims System (Docosoft), providing technical support to the Head of Claims Operations in managing the system, including upgrades and enhancements.

    What you'll need to succeed

    • An interest in analysing and evaluating data to drive business insights
    • Proven experience within an Insurance organisation is desirable
    • Experience in a Lloyd's Managing Agent is preferred
    • Experience in a Claims team or on Claims projects is preferred.
    • A strong attention to detail and an interest and desire to work with data
