Deputy Service Manager - Cardiff, United Kingdom - UK Civil Service

    Default job background
    Description

    Job summary

We are looking for a new Deputy Service Manager to join the Filing Service team at Companies House.

Traditionally Companies House has been structured and organised around specific functions, but we are in the middle of a major programme of transformation which is seeing us shift to a Service Delivery Operating Model. We are organised around three key services which broadly align with our three main user groups:

  • Filing Service - (Create, Maintain, Close a Company and Accounts Filing)
  • Get Company Information Service
  • Compliance and Enforcement Service
  • And a fourth service for common services which include standard elements used across all services, such as identity, access management, payment, contact centre and digital communication methods.

In order to support this transformation, each service needs the support of Service Owners, Service Managers and Deputy Service Managers. Our new Deputy Service Manager will report to one of the Filing Service Managers but will also support the other Filing Service Managers and Service Owner. They will support them to implement the vision of the service and help deliver outcomes across the service streams.

As a Deputy Service Manager you will oversee the running of the service implementation team, supporting the team to facilitate the effective implementation of new services and updates to existing services. You will learn from internal and external user insight and provide feedback to continuously improve the services and play a vital role in the delivery of the right capabilities to ensure our services are set up to succeed.

If you are passionate about user needs and delivering quality services to customers, then wed love to hear from you.

At Companies House were committed to creating a great place to work for all our colleagues. We encourage our brilliant people to bring their whole selves to work, perform to the very best of their ability and flourish; supporting us to fulfil our vision to becoming the most innovative, open, and trusted registry in the world.
