    Description
    Commercial Governance & Assurance Lead
    Warwick/Hybrid
    To help drive commercial value for the end consumer and support the effective delivery of our projects.

    We are delivering the key onshore infrastructure needed to re-wire the UK to allow the country to deliver its Net Zero ambition.

    As a commercial SME for strategic infrastructure the incumbent will develop and implement commercial governance and assurance frameworks that will allow grids to be developed and built and deliver value both for the end consumer and the NG shareholder.

    Up to £83,000 plus 20% Annual performance bonus & annual salary benchmarking
    ~ Full electric company car, or £6k car allowance

    ~ Commercial SME who will identify and monitor critical commercial governance criteria for portfolio & programme governance in collaboration with partners from PMO and delivery
    Panel commercial SME for all portfolio governance to assist with decisions and mitigation outputs.
    Develop and maintain commercial principles governing each commercial & contracting model available within the National Grid toolkit
    Develop and implement proactive deep dive commercial assurance with critical supplier partners
    Develop and lead proactive commercial compliance activity against regulatory and contracting frameworks
    Identify and own emerging portfolio commercial risks & issues arising from governance and assurance activity and implement remedial action
    Lead as the commercial SME on lessons learned activity to root cause and implement corrective actions
    Develop the relationships and trust with senior leaders and central functions as necessary to update and inform on commercial assurance activity and subsequent corrective action in a timely fashion

    You are entrepreneurial, an expert at driving commercial value and can bring best practice from other parts of the energy sector as well as from other industries.

    You are keen to learn and will not be bound by your role profile in driving commercial value.
