    Operations Manager (Books)A leading live events production company is currently looking for an experienced Operations Manager with commercial acumen to join their book distribution team.

    As the Book Operations Manager you will oversee all aspects of the operations and logistics process for live tours, corporate engagements, and e-commerce platforms.

    You will be responsible for the warehouse and the book logistics team member when it comes to distribution and stock maintenance.


    The ideal candidate will:
    Have a sound understanding of publishing and book distribution. Thrive in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. Be a versatile, committed, problem solver. Have commercial awareness as well as being organised and process minded.
    Have an appetite to grow their role within an exciting fast growing, market leading organisation.


    Key responsibilities:
    Stock ManagementMaintain computerised administration for all book sales for consumer and corporate events.
    Ensure that, where necessary, all stock is delivered safely to the company's warehouse for distribution purposes.
    Liaise with publishers' sales departments on terms and delivery logistics.
    Live Event BooksellingLiaise with events teams and venues with regards to terms for bookselling at live events.
    Work with other promoters and hire freelancers for live events as an external bookselling partner.
    Attend events where necessary to oversee the running of the book distribution /bookselling.
    Work closely with the Customer Service team on all customer queries regarding books at live events.

    E-Commerce & Market AnalysisManage the curation of books for the company's e-commerce platform and keep it updated to ensure stock is used effectively.

    Analyse how to best promote book sales alongside live tours and one-off shows.
    Oversee and manage the operations team to distribute all books purchased through the e-commerce platform.


    Experience and skills required:
    Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
    Understanding of the publishing industry.

    Experience within the sales/operations team at a publishing house is useful, but not essentialExperience of line managing is desirable, but not essential.
