    Delegate Sales Executive at City & Financial Global

    Job description

    Your role will be to research, contact and engage with professionals in the financial services sector and other industries by telephone, email, and social media, building relationships with them, explaining the benefits of attendance at our range of conferences, summits and symposia, and ensuring that they go on to book and pay for their places to attend.

    City & Financial Global is a leading, research-based conference organiser with well-established event portfolios in a number of fields, including financial services, climate change, energy, infrastructure, technology and diversity. Our programmes are of the highest quality, featuring government ministers, c-suite executives, leading regulators and eminent experts. We operate at the interface between government and the private sector, focusing closely on change drivers, such as new developments in policy, legislation and regulation.

    Key responsibilities

    • Get up to speed quickly with the objective, contents and key selling points of each event
    • Generate new leads for the purpose of emailing and calling prospective delegates
    • Engage with senior business leaders across social media, email campaigns and phone calls
    • Learn, research and embed yourself within industry you are working within
    • Negotiate effectively with prospects and to close sales in a speedy and professional manne
    • Hit and exceed monthly revenue targets and kpis
    • Work with our CRM system to optimize your targeted sales campaigns
    • Provide regular feedback to the Conference Production and Marketing Departments, as required

    Ideal profile

    • A highly motivated self-starter with an entrepreneurial and positive mindset
    • Minimum two years' experience of generating revenue streams through delegate sales for a commercial conference company or similar organisation
    • Business acumen that enables you to grasp key business issues quickly and communicate them effectively
    • Confident on the phone when talking to senior executives
    • Commercially aware with good research skills
    • Well organised and able to manage your own diary efficiently
    • Ability to work in a relatively small but dynamic company environment and build successful relationships with colleagues
    • Highly focused with a proven ability to deliver performance-related targets on a weekly, monthly and annual basis

    Salary and commission

    Between £24-£28K, depending on experience with an OTE of £40K (uncapped Commission)

    If you think you have what it takes to be successful in this role you will have unlimited commission potential with an uncapped commission structure. Career progression is dependent on performance – the successful candidate could ultimately move up to become Head of Delegate Sales.
