    Description

    Financial Crime and Compliance (FC&C) department is responsible for ensuring that all financial crime and compliance risks within the Bank are identified, managed or mitigated. It establishes and maintains the Bank's regulatory communications, compliance risk management, regulatory reporting and compliance advisory. As a Senior Officer - Systems and Data Analytics, you will act as the Data SME within Financial Crime and Compliance area to identify business needs and determine the best suitable solutions for the Bank. You will be responsible to create and implement data analytics methodology to meet the Bank's requirement in AML, financial crime, transaction monitoring and compliance reporting.

    Key responsibilities

    • Act as product owner of the Bank's AML and compliance data subjects
    • Support with data related tasks in European wide regional management projects
    • Use data analysis techniques to define and document processes and requirements, and contribute to the validation of the data quality
    • Identify technical options that address business needs and liaise with IT, development teams and business owners to understand data content in the Financial Crime and AML data universe
    • Interpret data, analyse results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
    • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality
    • Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
    • Review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
    • Collaborate with Management to prioritise business and information needs.
    • Work closely with Financial Crime and Compliance colleagues to support key deliverables
    • Collect data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
    • Participate in the preparation of training and testing materials and associated execution activities

    Requirements

    • Degree educated in Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics
    • Previous experience in Banking, Regulatory Technology, or AML systems industry
    • Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst in Banking or RegTech/AML solution provider
    • Solid data analytics knowledge using Python and experience with reporting packages (Power BI or equivalent) and databases (Oracle)
    • Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
    • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analysing datasets (Excel, SAS, R)
    • Solid analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
    • Excellent report writing and presentation skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Fluency in Mandarin is desirable
