    Payroll Associate - United Kingdom - Palladium: Make It Possible

    This Opportunity:

    The primary responsibility of the role will be to support the payroll function in all matters, including payroll processing, assisting with salary disbursements, handling payments to employees, assisting the time collection function and liaising with the Human Resources department.

    The position is based in Palladium's London office

    Reporting Lines:

    The role reports to Payroll Manager, Payroll EMEA Reporting

    Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

    Prepare the payroll data by collating data from HR & project leads for 3 UK payrolls to provide to the third-party provider

    Review the payroll data received back from the third-party provider

    Get the necessary sign off on the payroll data

    Coordinate the transfer of salary funds to the bank

    Process leavers & starters; including pro rata of first and last payment calculations and creating P45

    Update starters & leavers on cost point

    Prepare monthly payroll journals

    Prepare monthly payroll reconciliations

    Administer the pension by processing new starters & leavers

    Upload the pension contributions to the providers website monthly

    Assist Senior Associate, Payroll to ensure that all increases, adjustments, leave, variable pay and bonus provisions are accurately calculated and recorded

    Maintain Timesheets for all staff, assist with import/export and posting process

    Assist in liaising and regular communication with any payroll outsourcing providers that Palladium uses

    Ensure timely and accurate processing of semi-monthly and monthly payrolls and preparation for review and approval

    Respond to queries from employees and external agencies on payroll and benefits related issues

    Ensuring proper filing of all payrolls records and maintains confidentiality of records and updating and maintaining all other employee-related records (electronic and paper)

    Assist Senior Associate, Payroll to ensure that the company complies with Statutory reporting requirements, processing pension payments, and payroll tax as per legislation requirements

    Assisting in formulating any reports as requested by Management, HR or Finance

    Any other duties assigned by the Manager-Senior Associate, Payroll and VP of Finance, EMEA

    Essential Criteria:

    Ability to analyse payroll data via multiple spreadsheets is essential for this role

    Excellent written and oral communications skills. Demonstrated competence using Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

    Payroll experience in a similar role

    Knowledge of basic accounting concepts

    Ability to manage demanding workload, multi-task, assume diverse duties and tasks, accept challenges, take initiative, solve problems, and follow through on assignments

    Desirable Criteria:

    Knowledge of current HMRC legislation

    Experience with Deltek Costpoint is desirable

    Previous experience of processing and reconciling journals is desirable

    CIPP Payroll Qualification is desirable
