    Business Development Manager

    ROLE: Business Development Manager – Electric Vehicles

    LOCATION: – Fully Remote – based in Northwest England

    SALARY: Up to £55,000 - (£40,000 basic + OTE Bonus), Company Car, Travel Expenses & fantastic Company Benefits

    HOURS: Permanent - Full Time – 37.5 hours per week

    START DATE: April/May 2024

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth.

    What You'll Be Doing: The Electric Vehicle Business Development Manager (EV-BDM) has three elements to the role:

    • To generate and maximise Electric Vehicle sales direct with new and existing fleet customers in your respective region who currently purchase vehicles onto their fleet from Ford Motor Company and other vehicle manufacturers.
    • Deliver sales results through achieving sales to Fleet customers who classify as 'Corporate' Fleets with a fleet size of 100+ to achieve an initial annualised target of 15% Electric Vehicle sales across Car and CV per year.
    • Equally important, the EV Business Development Manager needs to maintain Percepta' s credibility as a trusted business partner for Ford through recognising and meeting the client's business needs and requirements.

    During a Typical Day, You'll:

    • Build relationships with new and ongoing customers, suppliers, and partners. Supporting the business to grow within an evolving market sector.
    • Seek-out new qualified business opportunities, ensuring FMC strict fleet customer criterias are met.
    • To work in partnership with the Ford Fleet Field Force on Corporate sales engaging them where necessary to add value to the process.
    • Excellent client communication facing skills, with an ability to deliver both sales results as well as other operational/marketing related projects.
    • Strong understanding of computer networking and network security.
    • Strong understanding of the Electric Vehicle environment and industry developments.
    • Actively build good working relationships with fleet customers, client personnel, associated agencies, dealer networks, contract hire and leasing companies where appropriate.
    • Understand and keep up to date with the client's product portfolio.
    • Ensure that all written communications i.e. emails, letters, terms, are accurate and reflect the telephone/meeting conversation you have had.
    • Attend all internal meetings and present ideas as relevant.
    • Attend all training sessions that you are nominated for.
    • Complete reports accurately and in a timely manner as requested.
    • Ensure data accuracy when inputting to any Percepta/Client system.
    • Ensure all new contracts are signed by the customer and returned, chasing if necessary.
    • Be aware of and adhere to ISO procedures/processes.
    • An intelligent business leader with real professional authority, exerting a strong, motivational influence.
    • Good business development skills with an ability to prospect and conduct business.

    What You Bring to the Role:

    • Entry level experience of sales within a B2B & Corporate environment, ideally within the automotive industry, although other relevant industry experience will be considered.
    • Undergraduate University degree or other equivalent qualifications i.e. NVQ.
    • Further education College or similar: A Levels, Higher, ONC
    • Proven ability to convert prospect appointments.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Effective listener with solid presentation skills.
    • Outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills.
    • Drive and enthusiasm to achieve sales targets.
    • Ability to maximise sales opportunities.
    • Fantastic communication skills with a professional manner.
    • Confident to `cold call` communicate with senior level decision makers and use a consultative approach to assess potential requirements.
    • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office computer packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Able to multi-task and manage the expectations of others both internal and external.
    • Energetic, flexible, and determined.
    • Able to demonstrate good self-motivation, strong sense of initiative and ability to work under pressure.
    • A dependable team player with a sense of humour
    • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail, Top-level execution of tasks, right first time.
    • Enthusiastic and dedicated to supporting the Percepta and client business.
    • Ability to listen and learn from others in every department you interact with.
