    Job Description

    Our client is a privately owned, multi-discipline, entrepreneurial group who's operations include Warehousing, Logistics, Investment and Retail.     You will be a commercially focused, qualified accountant, an exceptional stakeholder manager that can partner key areas of the Group to provide commercial financial/business support to increase profitability, while protecting the company's assets and ensuring internal controls are maintained.

    You will -

    • Building partnerships and maintaining strong relationships with senior managers and their teams
    • Interpret and communicate financial data to non-financial stakeholders
    • To perform a senior business partner role to operational management and be an integral part of their management team(this will incorporate regular visits to sites)
    • Review and assist with commercial business tenders
    • Prepare and analyse monthly management accounts, to an agreed timescale
    • Provide detailed insight into variances
    • Liaise closely with operational management
    • Prepare and present a monthly site financial performance report at the Business Review
    • Coordinate the budget/forecasting process in line with the company's deadlines and procedures
    • Offer professional judgement on financial matters to sites and advising on ways to improve business performance
    • Appraise capital projects for financial viability and return on investment
    • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain controls/accuracy of financial systems
    • Support the design and delivery of new reports and models as required
    • Preparation of year-end audit information as required
    • Support the preparation of the annual statutory accounts.
    • Any other duties where necessary for business continuity

    Key skills -

    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Good Microsoft office skills
    • Good interpersonal skills and comfortable presenting to Directors
    • Able to be persuasive in highlighting your point
    • Able to build strong relationships with non-financial managers
    • Able to manage and prioritise workload in a dynamic environment
    • Team player but self-motivated

    You will need -

    • Qualified
    • Full driving licence (travel to sites will be a requirement)
