    Who we are looking for

    The State Street Product Office is looking for a candidate to support product management activity for digital services. The candidate will lead product development and drive the strategic direction of digital assets for State Street. The candidate will support evolving ideas into pilots, and eventually develop products for clients. The candidate will work across functions and collaborate with different teams across the firm to deliver distributed ledger products being brought to market.

    What you will be responsible for

    As a Product Owner you will

    • Assisting in conducting market research and competitive intelligence to observe trends or signs of change, related to digital assets in capital markets
    • Helping coordinate with internal stakeholders to study and build use case for distributed ledger technology (DLT)
    • Assisting in preparing high level business cases and market opportunity analysis as it relates to the topics above
    • Assist in defining product vision, roadmap, and growth opportunities for digital services.
    • Participating in ideation sessions including brainstorming supporting the Product team
    • Delivering and and managing products related to digital by working with different product teams across the firm
    • Assisting with evolving the strategic thinking around digital assets services by performing research into this space and helping with building business cases.
    • Helping with evaluating market evolution and competitive intelligence around areas of interest
    • Helping raise the profile of State Street as an innovator in the market through suggesting new ways to gain mind share from the market
    • Raising the profile of the team internally to help channel good ideas into products and services.
    • Assisting with establishing an ecosystem for digital assets by researching activity, investment and interest – clients, providers, competitors.

    What we value

    These skills will help you succeed in this role

    • 3+ years in financial services, either at a fintech, in front office, capital markets, trading, and/or operations
    • Excellent organizational skills and track record of successful project management from ideation through implementation
    • Experience in delivering products/projects across multi-disciplinary teams
    • Understanding of the ongoing market trends in crypto and tokenized assets
    • Knowledge of the DLT and regulatory activity. A result oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes that meet or exceed customer expectations. A strong sense of accountability and ownership of your work, with the ability to take initiative and drive products forwards
    • Thorough understanding of the functioning of asset servicing products across the value chain (fund accounting, custody, transfer agency and collateral management)
    • Demonstrated passion for innovation and emerging digital technologies with natural curiosity around new technological evolution
    • Strong analytical capabilities to understand impact of trends on our business
    • Demonstrated ability to work with cross functional teams
    • Excellent oral and written skills
    • Enthusiasm and passion to learn the digital asset space
    • Exposure to a wide set of ideas, teams, and activities

    Education & Preferred Qualifications

    • Understanding of relevant enterprise financial technology solutions
    • Experience with developing innovative products from ideation through design and development (preferably within large, complex organizations)
    • Understanding of governance processes to drive implementation of service or tech changes
    • Excellent presentation, communications, collaboration and influencing skills
    • Experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment as well as the familiarity with product management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
    • Ability to build relationships with internal and external partners and stakeholders
    • Experience in developing, implementing and going to market with Digital products and services (Distributed Ledger Technology (blockchain), smart contracts, tokenization, wallet technologies, cryptocurrencies)
    • Experience with large scale business and technology implementation
    • Big 4 consulting experience is a plus
