    Description

    Department: Fundraising, Client Service and Communication
    Reports to: Heinrich Riehl, CFA

    ROLE PROFILE

    We are looking to hire a fundraiser for our venture capital fund of funds with professional experience in this capacity. We want a highly energetic, committed and knowledgeable candidate who understands fundraising, has established relationships with a set of clients and can demonstrate an initial track record of raising assets.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Business Development and Client Service
      • Responsible for building and managing the client base including arranging regular meetings with existing and prospective clients
      • Introduce the firm and brand, and help develop product marketing material
      • Contribute to and help develop the in-house CRM – including establishing call reports and keeping track of all communication with current and prospective clients
      • Coordinate and prepare client materials, including marketing presentations, portfolio reports, RFPs, and DDQ's
      • Report on a regular basis to the management on KPIs
      • To be a future leader of the company and a central member of the fundraising team with the creativity and energy to drive the business forward
      • Help to develop, budget and implement a communication strategy for the UK and internationally
    • Legal & Compliance
      • Help with the legal setup of segregated accounts
      • Review and coordinate legal documents with internal and external parties (AIFMs, fund admins and lawyers)
      • Lead and facilitate legal discussions with prospects and current clients
      • Assist the compliance team to achieve its objectives
      • Liaise with prospective and existing clients with respect to regulatory requirements

    KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Initial experience within the UK or across the EMEA wealth & wholesale market providing a combination of technical and commercial skills
    • Entrepreneurial mindset and desire to build VenCap's FoFs business
    • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise, organise, and execute a sales strategy
    • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team
    • 3+ years of experience in a sales role within the investment management industry
    • Strong technical investment knowledge
    • The capacity to adapt to sophisticated clients from a diverse range of countries and client channel types
    • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
    • A confident self-starter who possesses high levels of energy and the ability to work under pressure

    LOCATION

    • The firm is based in Oxford, however, the location of the role offers some flexible
    • There is a serviced office in London which would be available for this person to use from time to time
