    Senior Manager, Partnerships and Public Engagement, Royal Museums Greenwich

    Royal Museums Greenwich is a collection of diverse historical sites. The sites are the National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark , the Royal Observatory, and the Queen's House.

    Each of these sites has a unique identity and a common purpose to serve our communities, through sharing our collections and expertise.

    We are a place to explore the sea, space, art and history, and our strategy 'Charting Our Course' puts people at the core of its success.

    Reporting to the Head of Engagement, the Senior Manager, Partnerships and Public Engagement primarily focuses on growing and deepening engagement with local and national audiences and stakeholders, building sustainable partnerships to create inclusive approaches to public engagement with our collections, themes and sites.

    Key responsibilities include leading the Partnerships and Public Engagement team in the development and delivery of engagement programmes, partnership opportunities and projects for positive change, to increase understanding and connections to our shared heritage; seeking and maintaining equitable collaborations with communities and organisations to inform the Museum's approach to inclusive museum processes; The successful candidate will need to be a highly experienced practitioner in the cultural sector who can demonstrate a good understanding and working practice of audience engagement and development, programming, cultural sector outcomes and government policy.

    Substantial experience of generating and managing partnerships with multiple stakeholder engagement with an empathy for varying working practices and cultures, and leadership skills to motivate and inspire a diverse team are essential.

    The postholder will have experience of facilitating access and support for communities to culturally sensitive and contested histories, and the ability to build rapport and collaboration across a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.

    This is a part-time, 2-year fixed-term job share role in Band - Senior Management and Senior Specialists.
